Mode of Action

Basagran® acts as a Photosystem II (PS II) inhibitor. It blocks the photosynthetic electron transport chain, inhibiting photosynthesis and CO₂ assimilation. This halts the production of energy required for weed growth, leading to growth stagnation followed by death of the target weeds. Since it is a contact herbicide, proper coverage is essential for optimal results.

Application Guidelines

• Crop: Rice and Soybean
• Dosage: 800 ml per acre
• Timing: Apply at 2–3 leaf or 2–3 inch weed stage for best control.
• Water Management: Remove water from the field before spraying and re-irrigate after 24–48 hours.
• Spray Coverage: Ensure uniform coverage since it is a contact herbicide.
• Mixing: Can be applied solo or as a tank mix with compatible herbicides.
